Terms for using sunlectric.in, Solar Desk, Studio and Academy: indicative prices, no warranty on calculator outputs, liability and governing law.

These terms apply to your use of sunlectric.in and the tools on it, including the Solar Desk, Sunlectric Studio, Sunlectric Academy, the Learn articles and the FAQ (together, the "Site"), operated by Sunlectric Private Limited, Wagholi, Pune ("Sunlectric", "we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Prices and stock are indicative
- Prices, offers, stock bands and dispatch times shown on the Site or shared on WhatsApp are indicative and can change without notice.
- A price becomes binding only when we issue a proforma invoice (PI) or tax invoice and you accept it on its terms.
- Product images, specifications and brand names are for identification. Always check the manufacturer's datasheet.
- We may correct errors in prices or descriptions, and cancel orders placed on an obvious error, with a full refund of any amount paid.
2. Calculators, Studio and simulators: no warranty
Our tools (sizing, payback, battery, strings, voltage drop, wind, ToD and others, and Studio proposals and drawings) produce estimates from the inputs you give and from assumptions and data that may be incomplete or out of date, including tariffs, subsidies, net-metering rules and solar yield data.
- Outputs are provided "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
- They are not a substitute for a site survey, a structural or electrical design by a qualified engineer, or the current notification of the regulator, DISCOM or MNRE.
- Installers who use Studio outputs in their own proposals are responsible for checking them and for what they promise their customers.
- Subsidy amounts, tariffs and rules shown on the Site may change; always check the current notification.
3. Information, not advice
Articles, FAQs and Academy lessons are general information written in good faith. They are not legal, tax, financial or engineering advice for your specific situation. Standards and regulations are summarised; refer to the official text.
4. Academy tests and certificates
Academy certificates show that a person passed an online test on the Site. They are not a licence, a statutory qualification, or a certification of competence to carry out electrical work. Do not misuse or alter certificates; we may revoke certificates obtained unfairly.
5. Your account and content
- Keep login details private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- When you send us files (bills, roof photos, PIs) or enter customer data into Studio, you confirm you have the right to share them.
- Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy notice.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Site: no unlawful use, no attempts to break security, no scraping of price data at scale, no uploading of malware, and no impersonation of Sunlectric or others.
7. Intellectual property
The Site's text, tools, code, designs and graphics belong to Sunlectric or its licensors. You may share links and short quotes with attribution. Installers may use Studio proposals generated for their own customers. Do not copy substantial parts of the Site for commercial use without written permission. Brand names of third-party manufacturers belong to their owners and are used only to identify products.
8. Third-party links
Links to government portals, regulators and other sites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sunlectric is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from reliance on calculator outputs, articles or indicative prices. Our total liability relating to the Site (not to products you buy, which are covered by the invoice terms and manufacturer warranties) is limited to [₹ amount]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Sales terms
Purchases are governed by the terms on our proforma invoice and tax invoice, and by our shipping and returns policy. Manufacturer warranties apply to products; our RMA desk helps process claims.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date shows the current version. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any consumer-protection rights you have by law.
